This is the most wonderful idea I have heard of. I feel sad for the baby Day and his parents. I wish they had a burial ground here. I don't want a lot of chemicals in my shell of a body after my soul has left. My Native American ancestors were buried the natural way. I have always said that I want a plain wooden casket possibly built by my daughter. With a magic marker so every one who wanted to could write memories on it. I would love to see my dream come true.

Thank you for the beautiful thing you are doing.

How sad for baby Day and his mother & father...how wonderfully did they handle such a tragedy. I lost my dad without warning in 2001. Because he often joked he wanted to be buried in a pine box I know green burial would have shortened my 5 years of utter grief and would have given my dad his wish. My mom is still (barely) with me at home and her own dad was viewed in their home as was the tradition in 1929. This article has opened some doors for me! Thank you & bless you all.
