The Arbory Trust Woodland Burial Ground
Barton Glebe, Comberton .
The site at Barton is the first of its kind, and will eventually cover some 38 acres.
The Arbory Trust woodlands are planted in a glade pattern, and burials take place in the glades. Over a period of time, the trees will be managed to create a mixed deciduous woodland, but trees will always remain around where people are buried. The Arbory Trust’s woodland burial site is situated just west of Cambridge between Barton and Comberton.
Whilst the Arbory Trust (a non-profit making trust) is a Christian Foundation, chaired by a Bishop, it welcomes all regardless of race and religion. We have no geographical or theological boundaries in terms of who may be buried at the arbory Trust.
